LINXCEL AND SETON TUNING TEAM UP FOR SUPERSPORT ONSLAUGHT
IT support and software specialists Linxcel have committed to a second season supporting the Seton Tuning motorcycle team, following their outstanding success in winning the 2007 MRO Supersport championship with rider Andy Weymouth on a Linxcel Seton Tuning Yamaha.
For the 2008 season, the Linxcel Seton Tuning team is stepping up to the next level, and will be competing in the British Supersport Series, promising more media attention – and much more competition from world class riders and factory supported machines.
The team will be campaigning all 12 rounds around the UK during the 2008 racing season, aboard the latest Yamaha R6's, and will be managed by Phil Seton from their facility in Colchester.
The Linxcel Seton Tuning team will continue the successful working relationship with Andy Weymouth for 2008, following his success on the 2007 Seton Yamaha. Andy will be joined by Seton newcomer, 2006 British Supersport Cup champion Pete Spalding.
Team Manager Phil Seton commented :
"We are delighted to be working with Yamaha R6's again and to have retained Linxcel as the team's title sponsor for this year."
"Given Andy's 2007 performance we are very pleased that we've retained his services for 2008, his speed and consistency in 2007 was a major contributor to his championship win last year."
"Having Pete join the team for 2008 will certainly up our game, as a former champion in this series he fully understands the challenges ahead and we are expecting Pete to demononstrate his talent and ability on the bike from the start of the season."
As reigning MRO Supersport Champions they fully recognise the exciting and challenging journey for the team, riders and sponsors that 2008 will present. The team is working toward top ten finishes in a class packed with world class riders and factory supported machines
"We are confident that we have the riders, bikes and technical team to produce one or two surprises this season."
The team are now working overtime to complete the bikes and testing in preparation for the first round at Brands Hatch on 6th April.
